Suits is bringing a hark of a lawyer back for Season 8.
Amanda Schull, who plays Louis' (Rick Hoffman) former associate turned junior partner Katrina Bennett, has been promoted to series regular for the upcoming Season 8. Katrina has at times been the firm's greatest asset and at others its greatest threat.
The announcement comes just before USA premieres the final six episodes of Season 7, which will see Harvey (Gabriel Macht) and Louis trying to figure out how to keep the firm afloat as Jessica (Gina Torres) is being disbarred in New York. The constant punches to the firm's ego and reputation has left them struggling, so bringing Katrina back into the fold isn't the worst idea they've ever had.

With Mike (Patrick J. Adams) and Rachel (Meghan Markle) leaving at the end of Season 7, that leaves a lot of room for new lawyers to move up the ranks and take some spotlight in Season 8. Katrina could be Pearson Specter Litt's new star player.
Schull rejoins a cast that also promoted Dule Hill as a series regular and added Katherine Heigl as Samantha Wheeler, "a talented new partner at the firm who challenges the status quo and will either become the firm's greatest ally or most powerful enemy."
Suits premieres Wednesday, March 28 at 9/8c on USA.
