Canada-wide warrant issued for second suspect in assault on man with autism

Peel Regional Police have identified another suspect in the violent beating of a man with autism at a bus terminal in Toronto.

A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for 21-year-old Parmvir Singh Chahil.

He is the second suspect identified in relation to the attack, 25-year-old Ronjot Singh Dhami was identified on Monday. A Canada-wide search warrant was also issued for him.

Dhami’s last known address was in Surrey, B.C. Court records show he was previously convicted of assault with a weapon in that city.

The third suspect involved in the attack has not been identified, but police believe he may go by the name of “Jason.”

“Anyone who sees Chahil, or the other wanted male Dhami, is asked to call police immediately, please do not approach as they are extremely dangerous,” read a release from police.

Investigators are asking for anyone with information to come forward.

The assault took place at a bus terminal in Mississauga on March 13. A 29-year-old man with autism was putting on roller blades when police said three men came and began to attack him.

In disturbing surveillance video released by police, the trio can be seen kicking and punching the victim before walking away.

The victim was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
