Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, accompanied by son and IT Minister Lokesh and actor and MLA N. Balakrishna, arrived here on Tuesday evening. TTD EO Anil Kumar Singhal, along with his two deputies K.S. Srinivasa Raju and Pola Bhaskar, accorded him a warm reception at the Padmavati guest house.
Mr. Naidu would offer prayers at the temple on Wednesday.
In view of his visit, the Tirupati (Urban) police made elaborate security arrangements both in Tirumala and at Tirupati. Vehicular traffic on the second ghat road leading to the temple was disrupted for more than 90 minutes. What raised the eyebrows was the large-scale search operation carried out by the TTD vigilance and security personnel atop the temple town during the day. The search operation was conducted even in the far flung areas and guest houses, including Balaji Nagar, a residential area. Mr. Naidu’s wife Bhuvaneswari, daughter-in-law Brahmani, grandson Devansh, and Mr. Balakrishna’s wife Vasundharareached the temple town separately.
