Fresh off a second-straight appearance in the VHSL Class 2 state championship game, Robert E. Lee placed two players on The News Leader's 2018 All-City/County boys basketball first team.

Jarvis Vaughan and Jayden Williams, both seniors, helped lead Lee High back to the state title game a year after winning it all. Lee came up short this year, falling to Gate City, but Vaughan and Williams certainly left behind a legacy with the back-to-back championship appearances.

In addition to the Lee duo, another senior, Wilson Memorial's Greg Woodard, also finished a successful high school basketball career in leading the Hornets into the Region 2B tournament. He also landed on the first team.

Those three were joined by a pair of underclassmen, Stuarts Draft junior Antonio Ruiz-Haynes and Riverheads sophomore Braeson Fulton. Draft reached the Region 2B tournament, while Riverheads advanced to the Class 1 state quarterfinals.
