As many as 2,500 job-seekers have received employment offers, while 5,500 candidates have been shortlisted for further evaluation at a job fair organised here by the Rajasthan government, a senior official said today.
Spread over two days (March 19-20), the event was part of Rajasthan Digifest 2018, organised by the state government's IT and communications department.
"More than 6,500 job opportunities were offered by over 150 companies, out of which more than 2,500 youths have been given job offer letters," Akhil Arora, Principal Secretary at the Department of Information and Technology and Communications, told PTI.
Over 5,500 job-seekers have been shortlisted, who will be evaluated within seven days. The last round of scrutiny will take place after that and more applicants will get jobs, he added.
Companies from across various sectors such as information technology, banking, retail, manufacturing and pharma participated in the job fair.
Top employers included Infosys, Wipro, IBM, Genpact, Vodafone, Axis Bank and AU Small Finance Bank.
The organisers of the job fair had around 27,000 participants.
