The Puducherry police have registered another case against a 56-year-old French national on charges of sexually abusing two girls aged nine and six in Lawspet police station.
The Lawspet police said Thierry Gagner was arrested last month for allegedly abusing a 12-year-old girl in Puducherry.
Remanded in custody
The accused was produced before the Judicial Magistrate court in Puducherry on Wednesday and remanded in judicial custody on fresh charges against him.
A case under Section 10 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act was registered.
A senior member of the Child Welfare Committee said that when two siblings of the 12-year-old victim were given counselling, they said they were sexually abused by Gagner.
The children alleged that the accused would force them to sleep naked and inappropriately touch them.
House raided
Last month, a team headed by the then CWC Chairperson Vidyaa Ramkumar raided the residence of Gagner, who is said to be the Director of Hopigo and Missions Humanitarians, a non-governmental organisation.
He was living with a family from Odisha.
The CWC team said he had adopted a family of four children from Odisha and was sponsoring their education in Puducherry. The children’s mother was said to be living with them.
