Historysheeter arrested in Wagle Estate

Thane: A 35-year-old man has been arrested for a series of offences by the crime branch unit-5 on Monday. The accused is a resident of Indira Nagar slums in Wagle Estate and has been wanted for a series of crimes.

“Kshetrapal Prasad has been wanted in a number of robbery cases in Thane, Mumbai and Vijaywada. The police had received a tip-off that Prasad was suppose to arrive in the city to sell a country-made revolver,’’ said senior inspector Jairaj Ranware.


A trap was laid and the accused has been arrested. The police also found the revolver on him.


During interrogation, the police found that he is also wanted in a Rs 1 crore robber case by the Vijaywada Governor Peth police station. Several non-bailable warrants have also been pending against him.


The accused will be handed over to the Vijaywada police, Kapurbawdi police, Daighar police and Kashmira police for further investigations.
