Michael Bublé and his Argentinian actress wife Luisana Lopilato's third child will be a girl, it has been claimed.
According to reports in 30-year-old Luisana’s homeland, the couple have confirmed the sex of their unborn child to their loved ones.
Luisana and her 42-year-old singer husband were reportedly preparing to turn the page on eldest son Noah’s cancer battle by welcoming a new addition to their family.
Local media say they are anticipating an official announcement at the start of next month after Luisana jets to Buenos Aires with Michael and sons Noah, four, and Elias, two, to promote the premiere of her latest film.
The couple have yet to comment on the pregnancy claims, although Luisana’s brother Dario has done little to deny them.
Journalist Ariel Wolman, credited with breaking the news their third child would be a girl, tweeted on Tuesday: 'End of the mystery. Luisana Lopilato and Michael Bublé now know the sex of their child.'
Fuel to the fire: The reports come after Argentinian press claimed Luisana's mother Betty gushed the pregnancy was 'a surprise' last month. Pictured in April 2013
He also posted a link to an article by Teleshow, the popular showbiz website he runs, which reported: 'The actress is approximately five months pregnant.
'They say it’s third time lucky and that’s the case of the baby that’s on the way for Luisana Lopilato and Michael Buble, who after becoming parents to Noah and Elias are now expecting a girl.'
Last month, Luisana’s brother replied to a direct question about whether his little sister was pregnant by insisting: 'I would like her to give the exclusive.'
He gave the bizarre answer during a TV appearance in Argentina when a journalist quizzed him on whether it had been difficult for Luisana to decide to become a mother again after Noah’s cancer battle.
Actor Dario, 37, broke into laughter and opted to throw the ball into his sister’s court instead of using the opportunity to put to bed the insistent reports about Luisana and Michael expanding their family.
In January, when he was first asked about the arrival of another niece or nephew during a TV interview, he appeared to stifle a smile and said: 'I wouldn’t be able to tell you.'
Failing to finish his sentence he added: 'I swear the truth is I couldn’t tell because I don’t, I don’t, I don’t…..'
Breaking into nervous laughter as he was quizzed about his favoured name for the new arrival, he added: 'When it comes to thinking about it, I prefer it to be something specific because you begin to get excited. So I really couldn’t tell you.'
Moments later, he jokingly pretended to leave the interview after saying he was looking forward to a change of subject.
Michael, back to work after putting his career on hold to care for his sick son with his wife, is expected to join his family in Argentina after hosting the 2018 JUNO Awards in Vancouver on March 25.
Luisana has spoken of her desire to expand her family, admitting shortly before the pregnancy reports: 'I would love to have another child because being a mother is the best role.I would love to have 20 children but my body wouldn’t be up to it.'
She fuelled the pregnancy claims rather than dampening them by posting a photo on Instagram at the end of January showing her wearing a baggy sports top.
Happy days: Argentinian news website Todo Noticias described it as her 'trick to hide her pregnancy'. Pictured in September 2016
Argentinian news website Todo Noticias described it as her 'trick to hide her pregnancy'.
One fan commenting on the photo said: 'She put baggy clothes on to hide her stomach, even though she’s not heavily pregnant yet. She’s got her hands over her belly and her jacket is a size larger than the one she normally uses.'
Luisana was described as looking “radiant” when she was pictured on a family holiday in Disneyland last month.
Michael Buble withdrew from hosting the Brit Awards and 2017 Juno Awards to focus on Noah’s fightback after he was diagnosed with cancer.
He and his wife were told their eldest son had cancer in November 2016 by a Los Angeles hospital after medics in Argentina said they thought the youngster with mumps.
He had chemotherapy and an op before his parents revealed in a Facebook statement last February: 'We are so grateful to report that our son Noah has been progressing well during his treatment and the doctors are very optimistic about the future for our little boy.'
Around the same time an Argentinian journalist went on TV to say Luisana’s sister Daniela had told him in a text message: 'The cancer has gone.'
Noah is said to have been treated for liver cancer, although the actress and her husband have never confirmed what type of cancer he was diagnosed with.
Luisana opened up abut their son’s cancer battle in an emotional TV interview last July with Argentina’s leading chat show host Susana Gimenez.
She said: 'Things like this that happen in life make you realise that the most important things are not what you think they are.
'The most important thing in life is to have faith and to be strong. There’s not a day goes by that I don’t go to bed at night praying to God, "Please." Thank God the worst is now over but this is a long and ongoing process.'
