Parliament witnessed Opposition uproar for the 13th day today, forcing adjournment of both the Houses. The Rajya Sabha was adjourned for the day and the Lok Sabha till noon. As soon as the Lok Sabha met for the day, members from TRS and AIADMK trooped into the well raising slogans in support of their demands. TRS members were demanding increase in the reservation quota for jobs in Telangana while AIADMK members wanted the setting up of Cauvery Management Board. Amid noisy scenes, Speaker Sumitra Mahajan adjourned the House within minutes. The scene was not different in the Rajya Sabha. As soon as the House met, members from AIADMK, TDP and Congress went into the well raising slogans on various issues. Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu expressed his unhappiness saying that people across the country are watching the scenes in the House.
Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Vijay Goel accused the opposition of stalling the passage of important bills and discussion on different issues. As the stalemate continued, Mr Naidu adjourned the House till tomorrow.
