Google Play Instant experiences will be available in the Google Play Store, the Google Play Games app, or wherever game links are shared
Smartphones are fast becoming a primary device on which people play games. Understandably, a large portion of apps available on Google Play—the official app store for the most popular mobile operating system, Android.
Google has redesigned its Google Play Games app and has introduced the concept of instant play using which you can just tap and try a game without having to download it first. The premise of the new feature is similar to the Instant App feature which allows users to try new apps before installing them.
Google Play Instant experiences will be available in the Google Play Store, the Google Play Games app, or wherever game links are shared.
“To start, we’ll have a handful of games to play instantly on more than 1 billion Android devices worldwide,” the company said in an announcement. More games will be made available which will be ready to be played instantly.
Here are some games you can try instead of installing it in full: Bubble Witch 3 Saga, Final Fantasy XV: A New Empire, Clash Royale, Words with Friends 2, Panda Pop, Solitaire and Mighty Battlesthrough.
Apart from the instant play feature, the revamped Google Play Games app has an ‘Arcade’ section where you can check out game video trailers or use tags like “New” or “Action” to find a particular type of game.
Google is also promising to boost your gaming skills. “We’ll also show you news and YouTube videos related to your favourite games to help you boost your skills and become a game master,” the company said.
Google Play Games app comes pre-installed on most of the Android devices.
