Ethan Hawke, Paul Dano to collaborate for 'True West' play on Broadway

Actors and will work together once again, this time in a coming Broadway production of Sam Shepard's "True West".

The play will be directed by and it will open in January next year at the Theatre, announced Roundabout Company.

Hawke and Dano will play battling brothers and Austin, respectively.

"Opposites attack in Sam Shepard's Pulitzer Prize-nominated play about two brothers with more in common than they think. Holed up in their mother's house, (Dano) and lowlife (Hawke) wrestle with big issues - and each other.

"Order vs. chaos. Art vs. commerce. Typewriter vs. toaster...Shepard's rip-roaring classic returns to Broadway, gleefully detonating our misguided myths of family, identity and the American Dream," the company described the play on its official website.

Hawke and Dano had earlier worked with each other on two occasions. They acted together in the 2004 psychological thriller film "Taking Lives".

Later in 2007, Hawke directed Dano in an Off Broadway production of "Things We Want".
