Begin your journey through New England and Canada with a complimentary boat tour at the spectacular Niagara Falls. You will then take an Amtrak train to New York City for a two-night stay in a five-star hotel in Times Square.

Having transferred to MSC Meraviglia, your first port of call is the small town of Bar Harbor, Maine, gateway to the mountains and cliffs of neighbouring Acadia National Park. Sail north to St John and continue along the east coast to Halifax, provincial capital of Nova Scotia. From here, you will sail down to Portland, Maine, and then on to Boston in Massachusetts. You will then return to New York, your final port of call, before flying back to the UK overnight.

St John is a quaint harbour packed with Victorian-influenced architecture, brick walkways, historic churches and quirky shops. Dont miss the chance to see Reversing Falls, a river that flows in reverse during low tide.

Day nine- Halifax, Nova Scotia

Halifax has one of the largest harbours in the world and is surrounded by stunning coastal scenery. For lovers of maritime history, the city bursts with stories, museums and ancient artefacts.

Day 10- Sydney, Nova Scotia

Sydney is the perfect starting point for the attractions on Cape Breton Island. Be sure to visit St Patricks Church, the fortress and living museum. Another popular stop is Baddeck, a quaint town on the shore of Bras dOr Lake.

Day 11- At Sea
