Tommy Lamar Thomas

Tommy Lamar Thomas, 57, of Fort Payne, passed away March 20, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer.  He was born in DeKalb County, Alabama on May 9, 1960 to the late Lee Wayne Thomas and Margie Tipton Thomas.  He was self employed for 18 years as owner of Thomas Manufacturing and then worked for 19 years at Plastex Extruders where he was Plant Manager.

A memorial visitation is planned for Saturday, March 24th at Wilson Funeral Home from 2 until 4 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to St. Jude’s or the American Cancer Society.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie Thomas; son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Blake Thomas and Dr. Erin Thomas; grandchildren, Stella Mary and Victor Blake Thomas; brothers, Bauford Thomas and Michael Thomas; sisters, Pat Burrows, Carolyn Vaughn, Brenda Harcrow and Mary Barrett; and many nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Wilma Walker.

Wilson Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
