‘Hearthstone’ The Witchwood Expansion Release Date: Earn 16 Free Packs
Hearthstone is giving away free packs to all of its players for completing Daily Quests. From March 27 at 3 a.m. EDT to April 10 at 3 a.m. EDT, players will receive one free pack for every Daily Quest they complete. These packs will come from all Year Of The Raven rotation sets, including Journey to Un’Goro, Knights of the Frozen Throne, Kobolds & Catacombs and The Witchwood. You’ll have to wait until the spooky expansion comes out to rip open cards from the latest set, but that shouldn’t take long. The “Play A Friend” quest that nets both players a pack will be turned off for the event.
‘Hearthstone’ The WitchWood Expansion: How To Get All 16 Free Packs
Blizzard was very careful in its wording for this event, but you should be able to net 16 free packs if you’re smart in how you approach it. Right before the event starts, make sure that you have three Daily Quests waiting in your queue. To get the most out of this, you’ll have to make sure to complete the grind as much as possible. My plan is to finish three quests every three days, maximizing my Hearthstone playtime. If I remember, I’ll make sure to reroll one quest a day, trying to earn everything with as few games as possible. Fingers crossed for the “win three Paladin games” quest every day.
The hardest part of getting into Hearthstone is affording all the cards needed to play at a high level. I’ve spent hundreds of dollars on my collection and I still don’t have enough to build the best meta decks. With a solid 15 dollars of free packs flying into my account, I’ll have enough dust to finally craft Bloodreaver Gul’dan.
‘Hearthstone’ The Witchwood Reveal Schedule: When Will We See The New Cards?
The Hearthstone team has also released the reveal schedule for The Witchwood. Staring April 26, at least five new cards will be revealed on websites or content creator videos each day. Little thumbnail images for each card have already been revealed, and they all look zany and horrifying. There’s a zombie popping out of a coffin, multiple dragons and a possessed hound dog. The reveals stop on April 9, which means that the set will release sometime that week. Though patches usually come out on Tuesdays, I wouldn't be surprised if they wait until the end of the week to drop the expansion.
Here are the new card names seen in the reveal pages' code.

Expect The Witchwood Hearthstone expansion to release between April 9 and 11 at 2 p.m. EDT.
That’s just a guess, but it’s a very educated one.
