Honing the skills of youths through the ambitious Skill Development programme, Jharkhand Skill Development Mission Society (JSDMS) is gearing up for the mega World Skill-2019 event. The main event will be organized at Kazan, Russia ensuring the participation of some of the best brains from across the globe.
Through district level and State level competitions, JSDMS will select the top contenders who will represent Jharkhand competing with the other competent counterparts at a national level contest. JSDMS in the first phase beginning from April 4 to April 6 will organize a district level competition. The selected candidates showcasing their best skills will be rewarded Rs 25,000 while the runner up contestants will get Rs 11, 000.
The selected contestants will compete in the State level competition presenting a more significant approach in a few selected traits under JSDMS’s district and State level competitions. The State level competition will be organised on April 25 and April 26. The winners of the State level contest will receive prize money of Rs 51,000 whereas the runner up will get Rs. 21,000.
As many as 15 trades have been selected by the JSDMS for the district and State level competitions. All interested candidates can leave a mark through their skills in bakery, cooking, beauty therapy, fashion technology, electrical installation, restaurant service, welding, CNC Turning, CNC Milling, Automobile Technicians, Autobody Repair, Car Painting, Plastic Die Engineer, Mechanical Engineering CAD.
Those candidates winning the skill challenge at a State level competition will get opportunity to showcase their expertise at a regional level contest conceptualised and conceived by ‘India Skills’. The winning candidates of regional level competition will be awarded cash prize of Rs 1,01,000 while the runner up candidates will get Rs 51,000.
The final round aka National level contest to test the abilities of the best selected contestants will be organised by ‘India Skills’ and the lucky contestants presenting the best concept in the defined traits will be get a chance to rub their shoulders at an intercontinental podium ‘World Skills-2019’ competition representing India.
Youths who are born on January 1, 1997 and after, having AADHAR card (UIDAI) are eligible to participate in the contest being organised at the district and State level.
