Bringing the soul-stirring music of the streets of Lisbon to Beverly, Portuguese fado singer, Ricardo Ribeiro is touring in support of his latest hit CD.
Ribeiro has performed fado, Portugal's most emblematic and mysterious music, in innumerable countries worldwide and has garnered recognition from the press, his peers and audiences for his passion and commitment.
“Watching Ricardo play is enchanting,” said Donald Crowell, owner and CEO of The Larcom. “We’re very honored to have him out here in Massachusetts. Also, proceeds from the event will support college scholarships through Portuguese-Americans for Higher Education so we are very excited to have people come out and enjoy a night of worthwhile music.”
This one-night event hits the stage Friday, March 23, at 8 p.m.; doors open at 7 p.m. Ribeiro will be joined by special guest Tânia da Silva and accompanied by Luís Guerreiro, Carlos Manuel Proença and Daniel Pint. It will be a night to remember.
The Larcom Performing Arts Theatre is located at the historic Larcom Theatre, 13 Wallis St., Beverly. The venue includes a concession stand with beverages, beer cocktails and snacks.
