An 18-year-old was arrested for his alleged involvement in a 2017 homicide at the Lago Del Sol apartment complex.
The Lee County Sheriff's Office announced the arrest of Willie Davis, who turns 19 in 10 days, late Tuesday night in a news release.
According to the sheriff's office, forensic evidence tied Davis to the death of 18-year-old Tanner Crowley.
Crowley was shot on June 17 of last year at the Harlem Heights complex at 10540 Clear Lake Loop.
Crowley was found by deputies suffering from a gunshot wound and transported to a hospital, where he later died.
A second victim was also shot but suffered non-life threatening wounds and arrived at the hospital on their own.
The sheriff's office did not release any details of the investigation but said Davis was linked to Crowley's death through forensic evidence.
Davis, who also lives in Harlem Heights, is accused of second-degree murder and robbery with a firearm.
He was booked into Lee County Jail shortly after 3 p.m. Tuesday. Bond has not been set.
It is unclear if the two were known to one another.
