Youth found strangled in Thane slum
THANE: The police recovered the mutilated and highly decomposed body of a 25-year-old man from Sainath Nagar slum recently. The deceased was identified as Kabir Lashakar, a bicycle mechanic. The police said he was strangled.

Neighbours had complained about a foul smell emanating from a hut in the slum on Ghodbunder Road. The body bore injury marks and the youth's private parts were found chopped off. The body was sent for a post-mortem to the Thane civil hospital, said a police official. tnn
