As per Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the air strike targeted a town Arbin in the declining rebel-held area of Ghouta. Since a month, this town has been under strike by government armed forces.

“3 missiles from a single air attack targeted the school, where the underground level was being utilized as a protection,” Rami Abdel Rahman stated.

“Evacuation workers are still looking for survivors,” he added.

It is believed that Monday air strikes were conducted by Russia. Moscow stated it is providing assistance to Syria’s government armed forces in Ghouta but has refused conducting air strikes against non combatants.

Syrian armed forces and allied private army have been carrying out a fierce ground and air attacks ever since February 18 to expel insurgents from Ghouta.

Syrian armies have made far-reaching approaches against them recently that unlocked “walkway” for terrified militants to flee into government-led area.
