Students Job Protest in Mumbai, Matunga-Dadar train services affected

Mumbai:  Troubled students demanding jobs blocked rail traffic on Tuesday between Matunga and Dadar stations in Mumbai to show their anger against the organizations. The protest affected suburban services and created problems for the localities that travel on daily basis in local trains.

The student led protest started on Tuesday at 7am morning. They demanded rail services to shut today. Due to the protest, express train services were also affected between Matunga and CSMT stations.

Whole four lines are hit between Matunga and CSMT. Cops and railway authorities are having discussions with them, the authority stated.

“There have been no jobs since last four years. We are stressed from pillars to post. More than 10 candidates have attempted suicide. We cannot let such things take place,” a student quoted.

“We will not move from here until and unless Railway Minister Piyush Goyal come and meet us. Our several request made to DRM (Divisional Railway Manager of Mumbai Division) have proved to be unsuccessful,” another student said.

“Mumbai cop with GRP and RPF jawans are having discussions with the students and railway’s first preference was to free the track first,” Chief PRO of Central Railway Sunil Udasi stated.

Candidates protesting against the matter held placard in their hands and shouting slogans against railway officials. They even ordered one time decision from GM quota and affirmed that they require jobs from government.

BEIRUT: Nearly 15 children and two women died in an air strike that took place in a school in Eastern Ghouta of Syria on Monday.

As per Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the air strike targeted a town Arbin in the declining rebel-held area of Ghouta. Since a month, this town has been under strike by government armed forces.

“3 missiles from a single air attack targeted the school, where the underground level was being utilized as a protection,” Rami Abdel Rahman stated.

“Evacuation workers are still looking for survivors,” he added.

It is believed that Monday air strikes were conducted by Russia. Moscow stated it is providing assistance to Syria’s government armed forces in Ghouta but has refused conducting air strikes against non combatants.

Syrian armed forces and allied private army have been carrying out a fierce ground and air attacks ever since February 18 to expel insurgents from Ghouta.

Syrian armies have made far-reaching approaches against them recently that unlocked “walkway” for terrified militants to flee into government-led area.
