Market Now: Sensex, Nifty in green; these stocks surge over 10%
NEW DELHI: Shares of Shyam Telecom (up 19.85 per cent), FCS Software Solutions (up 14.29 per cent), EIH Associated Hotels (up 14.86 per cent) and Venus Remedies (up 11.64 per cent) surged over 10 per cent on NSE during Tuesday's trade.
Erasing the losses of opening session, equity benchmarks turned positive on buying in select metal, pharma, IT, auto and bank stocks.
The BSE Sensex was 97 points up at 33,020, while the Nifty50 was 28 points up at 10,122 around 10:35 am (IST).
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 34 were trading in the green, while 16 were in the red.
Bharti Infratel, Tata Steel, Tech Mahindra, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation and Vedanta were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack of stocks.
On the contrary, Cipla, NTPC, Mahindra & Mahindra and Indian Oil Corporation were among the top losers in the Nifty index.
