HC initiates suo motu proceedings against suspended Kerala DGP for remarks against judges

The High Court today initiated suo motu contempt proceedings against suspended General of Police (DGP) for his alleged remarks against two judges of the court.

On a petition filed by a lawyer, a division bench of Justice and Justice directed Thomas to appear before the court in person on April 2.

The petitioner has alleged that Thomas made contemptuous personal remarks against the two judges in a complaint to the (CVC).

Thomas had made imputations against the judges, who passed orders against him in a case, according to the petitioner.
