4 labourers were electrocuted in a tragic incident & 2 suffered serious burns

In a tragic incident in Sitapur, four labourers were electrocuted while two others suffered serious burns after a high tension wire fell over them while they were working at a school in Kamlapur area of Sitapur. 

Agitated with the deaths, dozens of labourers and local residents  later staged a road blockade disrupting traffic on the Lucknow Sitapur highway for several hours. They demanded action against lax Power Corporation officials and compensation for the victims. Later senior officers reached there, pacified the protesters and cleared the blockade assuring them of taking up the issue of compensation with the government and acting against guilty Power officials. A case was later registered and the bodies were sent for autopsy.

The labourers were constructing a boundary wall at Vidyagyan Private School in Kamlapur locality when the high tension wire suddenly snapped and fell over them fatally charring four and injuring two others. 

The deceased were later identified as Madhulal (30), Ankul (16) of Suraicha (Sitapur), Amrit Lal (25) of Imiliya (Sitapur) and Mahendra (40) of Bamera (Sitapur). Amongst the injured, the condition of Jitendra (18) was stated to be critical. 

Meanwhile in Bijnore, three persons were killed in a road mishap on Monday morning. A speeding truck (HR38BC-5815) and a speeding Scorpio Jeep (UP08AN-2493) collided head on at Fazalpur Talebi hamlet of Nazibabad claiming three lives and injuring two others. The decased were identified as Ram Prakash Kapoor (55) og Sector 62, Faridabad,  Prannath Bhatia (55) of Mukherjee Nagar, New Delhi and Mohan Singh Negi (35) of Pauri Garhwal in Uttrakhand.  A case was registered and the bodies have sent for post-mortem examination.
