DC asks officials to keep eye on social media

Deputy Commissioner Dr Neha Arora held a peace committee meeting with officials and dignitaries in the conference hall at collectorate premises on Monday. Arora instructed the officials to keep an eye on the objectionable and provocative posts of social media site Facebook and WhatsApp. She also instructed strict action against those who post anything objectionale on social media.

The proposal to celebrate Sarhul and Ramnavami Parva in the atmosphere of peace and harmony by coordination of all was passed. For this, emphasis was laid on chalking of security arrangements at different places including the district headquarters.

The Deputy Commissioner asked to take every possible action to stop the DJ and the inflammatory songs playing during the festivals.

She appealed to all the community to celebrate the festival peacefully. In addition to this, she instructed to repair the way of procession taken out of Sarhul and Ramnavmi, to arrange drinking water and to accelerate cleanliness work. She said that all people celebrate festivities in the atmosphere of brotherhood.

The meeting was attended by the SP M Arshi, DDC Chandramohan Kashyap, Subdivision Officer Ranka Javed Anwar Idrishi, District Twenty-Point President Siddheshwar Lal Agarwal, DRDA Director Ondil Odayaya and many others dignitaries.
