The number of suggestions and ideas received by the state BJP from various sectors for its manifesto and vision documents for the coming Assembly polls, has crossed the one-lakh mark.

The party's Information Technology (IT) Cell has now started digitising the data. The BJP will come out with one main manifesto, constituency-wise manifestos for all the 224 Assembly segments and vision documents for around 100 sectors ahead of elections.

The BJP had invited comments, suggestions and ideas from voters to serve as inputs for its manifesto. Alongside, a campaign "Nava Karnataka Janapara Shakti" that involves interaction with voters and experts was also launched. "Our teams have started digitalising the data. We have received inputs both online, offline, on Whatsapp, Facebook, in form of letters and some have even shot videos with their comments and suggestion," BJP IT Cell convenor K Amresh said.

The compilation is being done by as many as 100 volunteers without any particular political affiliation. "The volunteers include techies, professors, homemakers, banking personnel and even government officials who are devoting a few hours of their time every day for this work," he said.

The suggestions are being segmented into regions and sectors. For instance, most suggestions received from Gadag district were related to Mahadayi River water dispute while that in Bengaluru city pertained to infrastructure.

The party will come up with road-map on 100-plus sectors ranging from agriculture, automobile, textile and garment, tourism, pharmaceutical, plantation, electronics, food processing, chemicals, IT among others.
The constituency vision plans will address the region-wise local needs and also reflect the aspirations of the people from various walks of life.
