Golf Trotters win ‘Clash of Titans’ at Oxford Golf

Pune: Golf Trotters, a group of amateur golfers from Pune scored an impressive 31-13 win over Mumbai’s The Ball Crushers to win ‘Clash of Titans’ a Match-play event between Pune and Mumbai, at the Oxford Golf Resort in Lavale over the weekend.

In a field of 88 golfers—44 each from either cities—the Golf Trotters won 31 individual Match-play matches to clinch the trophy.
This was for the first time such a contest between two cities was held in a Match-play format, while on other occasions strokeplay and Stableford format was used.

The Pune team was led by Ram Agrawal and Mumbai by Cdr Sandeep Kumar.

Closest to pin (on Hole 3): Alex Mohan (6 ft 2 inches)
Closest to pin (on Hole 14): Jitendra Shah (1 ft)
Longest drive (on Hole 16): Raju Nageshkar (220 yards)
