Market Now: Tata Steel, Vedanta among most active stocks in terms of value
Bharti Infratel, Eicher Motors and Tata Steel were the top gainers in the Nifty pack of stocks.
NEW DELHI: Tata Steel (Rs 212.93 crore), Vedanta (Rs 115.65 crore) and State Bank of India (Rs 76.97 crore) were among the most active stocks in terms of value on NSE in morning trade on Tuesday.

Axis Bank (Rs 69.64 crore), Tata Consultancy Services (Rs 65.03 crore), Reliance Industries (Rs 64.12 crore), Infosys (Rs 60.73 crore), Punjab National Bank (Rs 57.76 crore), Maruti Suzuki (Rs 52.90 crore), YES Bank (Rs 49.92 crore), Bank of Baroda (Rs 49.27 crore) and JSW Steel (Rs 41.89 crore) were also among the most active stocks in terms of value on NSE.

The NSE Nifty index was trading flat at 10,093, while the BSE Sensex was also trading flat at 32,924 around 09:35 am (IST) on Tuesday.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty50 pack, 26 were trading in the green, while 24 were in the red.

Bharti Infratel, Eicher Motors, Tata Steel, Indiabulls Housing Finance, Bosch and Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone were the top gainers in the Nifty pack of stocks.

On the contrary, Vedanta, Cipla, Aurobindo Pharma, NTPC, Bharti Airtel and Mahindra & Mahindra were among the top losers in the Nifty index.
