Thief steals Rs 1.25 lakh cash from man's two-wheeler helmet box

VADODARA: A resident of Warasia lost Rs 1.25 lakh cash when he went to meet his brother in Fatehpura. Girish Velani told the police that he had withdrawn Rs 1.75 lakh from a bank near Sangam Crossroads and then kept the money in a bag. He kept the bag in the helmet box of his two-wheeler and went to meet his brother.

Velani left the cash in his two-wheeler and returned within some time. When he opened the helmet box, he found the bag in which he kept Rs 1.25 lakh missing.


The other Rs 50,000 wasn’t stolen. He immediately contacted the police that registered a case of theft.


The cops have begun scanning the CCTV footages of the area to get clues.
