Washington College sophomore catcher Ryan Zwier, a Newark resident and former All-State player at Caravel Academy, was named Centennial Conference Player of the Week in baseball.
Zwier batted .529 (14-for-27) in eight games for the Shoremen last week with a home run, six doubles, five RBI and nine runs scored as the team went 7-1. He is batting a team-leading .421 on the season.
