MPs have demanded that Facebook’s chief executive Mark Zuckerberg appear in Westminster to face questions about the Cambridge Analytica data scandal engulfing the internet giant.
Damian Collins, the chair of the Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Committee, wrote to Mr Zuckerberg on Tuesday calling on the tech billionaire to give evidence in person.
He said the committee had repeatedly questioned Facebook representatives as part of its inquiry into fake news and how social media may have been exploited to meddle in elections.
