When Star returns with new episodes, we'll finally know whether or not Jahil (Benjamin Bratt) survived that overdose and what happened to Cotton (Amiyah Scott) following that brutal attack by her angry ex-boyfriend.

In addition to Jahil and Cotton's fates, the series will also have to answer the question of who died during the fire that claimed Carlotta's (Queen Latifah) salon. Plus, Alex (Ryan Destiny) and Derek's (Quincy Brown) relationship woes will continue now that she has gone and kissed another dude.
The remaining episodes of the season will also see legendary singer Patti LaBelle and famed R&B artist Brandy Norwood head to the series for multi-episode arcs as Carlotta's mom and younger sister, respectively. After everything that's happened with her salon, Carlotta is going to need all the support she can get.
