AgriTalk After The Bell: “Not the time to panic”

Following Monday’s sharply lower price action in the grain markets, AgriVisor Sr. Market Analyst Dale Durchholz told Chip Flory on AgriTalk After the Bell that now is not the time to panic. “I think I’d give this bean market an opportunity to come back after a day like today,” said Durchholz. He did warn, however, that Monday’s price action increases the urgency to make sure bean growers are current on new-crop coverage and that any price recovery should be viewed as an opportunity to get price coverage to desired levels ahead of spring plantings.

Durchholz told Flory that corn may have an even better opportunity to recover from Monday’s losses with export demand still holding strong, but wheat likely has the lowest odds of an upside price recovery.
