NCB arrests Nigerian national with drugs worth Rs 80 lakh

The (NCB) arrested a Nigerian woman with 404 grams of amphetamine, a banned psychotropic substance, having a street value of over Rs 80 lakh, officials said.

Based on a specific tip off, NCB officials nabbed 25-year-old from a train at railway station with the contraband yesterday night, said NCB zonal director

"When the Delhi-Madgaon Sampark Kranti express halted at Vadodara, we intercepted Ruth, sitting in S9 coach, and found two sealed packets of biscuits. These packets contained 404 grams of drugs having a street value of Rs 80 lakh" he said.

She told police that she was supposed to deliver the drugs to a person in Mumbai, he said.

He informed that a case had been registered under the NDPS Act and further investigations were underway.
