GURUGRAM: A couple was booked for allegedly stealing cash and jewellery worth several lakhs from the house of a retired executive engineer, where they worked as
domestic helps. An FIR was lodged under relevant sections against the couple.
The complainant,
Mangal Singh Yadav, resident of
Noorpur Jharsa village, said that servants — Chotu and
Sujan Rajput — stayed in a rented room behind the house. They fled on March 14. “We searched the house and found out that jewellery, including gold and diamond items, and cash (Rs 2000-3000) were missing. When I called up Chotu, his phone was switched off,” Yadav said.
ASI Munshi Ram said the investigation is on.
