LOVELAND — The Thompson School District announced Tuesday that Bank of Colorado will donate $30,000 to the district over the next three years, in addition to volunteer hours in the classroom.
According to a press release from the district and the bank, the partnership will benefit career and technical education in Loveland's and Berthoud's public schools.
The donation will pay for a variety of career and technical education programs and activities, including:
• The launch of National Technical Honor Society chapters at all five district high schools.
• An annual National Technical Honor Society and Career and Technical Education Business Reception and Awards Ceremony to honor student achievement and the contributions of local businesses and organizations.
• Funding for student projects, field experiences and the Pitch Night event for the Entrepreneurship Program.
• Transportation for field experiences for students and teachers.
• Activities at the middle and high schools tied to Financial Literacy Month.
