BHEL CSR provides scholarships to needy

Under the aegis of Corporate Social Responsibility, 55 students in the villages adopted by BHEL comprising of orphan, divyang and students who have lost their father were given a scholarship of Rs 1.65 lakh.

On this occasion, DK Thakur Executive Director BHEL, Bhopal; Pratibha Thakur, President, BHEL Ladies Club; MS Kinra General Manager (Quality & HR), all vice-president of ladies’ club, Anant Toppo, AGM (TAD), SB Singh, AGM (TAD) and other senior officials were present.

DK Thakur in his address urged the students to make their mark in the society and deliver upon the responsibilities for the society. He further said that BHEL is committed in providing assistance to the economically weaker section of the society under CSR.

Thakur in her address threw light on the contribution extended by BHEL Ladies Club in empowering the weaker section of the society.  She further informed the gathering of various programmes carried by the club for the betterment of the society.

Kinra in his address educated the gathering of various initiatives undertaken by BHEL as well as BHEL Bhopal under CSR. Appreciating the scholarship scheme he said that it helps in assisting students to continue their studies. Alok Verma Town Administrator coordinated the programme.
