This morning I woke up to a text from a friend of mine.
It was a short video about life, health and living. Sometimes you find motivation in others or even reminders. I have had a lot of reminders lately — reminders that you don’t want to be reminded of but you are faced with once again.
The preface was about earning everything you do. Taking chances and living a good life.
The biggest takeaway from the short three-minute video was “Getting On Track” and that it's never too late.
It wasn’t about doing what the video says to do or going overboard on what they do. It’s about you. It’s about what you need to do to get on track. It was questioning your mindset and where it’s at right now.
Too many times people think living in their 20s was their prime. And when they hit their 30s, they constantly say, “When I was in my 20s” or “Now that I’m 30, 40 or 50, I can’t do that anymore."
What are you talking about?
I had an awesome conversation Tuesday night with one of my longtime members. Some things have to change in her training for the betterment of her health. She’s not stopping because of a small setback. She’s staying on track but going in a different direction.
She’s 100 percent confident in what’s to come because she’s been on track for seven years as a member.
It’s never too late to “Get On Track” with health and nutrition.
What are you waiting for? Someone to come to you and show you or tell you? That’s not happening. Stop over-thinking it. Stop putting up barriers because you’re embarrassed someone's going to say something to you.
Stop thinking you don’t know enough to get on track. You have 12 months out of the year. You are not going to stay on track for 12 full months. You’re going to be tested. You’re going to fall off the track.
So what if you fall off for two or three months out of 12 months? That’s nothing.
Stop feeling sorry for yourself and start chipping away to get back on track.
What do you do then? It’s easy. You get back on track and it does not happen overnight.
It will happen for sure because you have instilled great habits by being consistent. Your mind and body will go back to what it knows.
Believe that.
