A 21-year-old fine arts student had a harrowing time on her way to college, when a private cab driver, Tirupatesh (22), trapped her in the car and outraged her modesty, on Monday, near Shamshabad.
In her complaint registered with the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport police, the woman, a resident of Shamshabad, said she boarded the cab to reach her college in Masab Tank. After 3 to 4 km into the ride, the driver outraged her modesty, said P. Paidi Naidu, sub-inspector, RGIA police.
Police said based on the car number provided by the girl, they tracked him down and arrested him from his residence in Shaikpet.
