I would like to urge Berthoud voters to support Maureen Dower for trustee and Jeff Hindman for mayor.

Maureen and Jeff have both been very involved for the past two years working with others to finalize Berthoud's Parks, Open Space, Recreation and Trails (PORT) plan. Finishing the master plan is essential to planning the financing to build new trails, ball fields and a new swimming pool at Town Park. For the new Berthoud residents north of 287, getting a safe trail to town for pedestrians and cyclists is an urgent need. Jeff and Maureen have the experience and expertise on the PORT planning to get things done on the Town Board.

The other quality both of these candidates have is commitment. They have both invested countless hours of volunteering to bring added amenities to Berthoud's residents. Most of us do not have the time or willingness to take on huge volunteer responsibilities. In contrast, Maureen and Jeff have embraced the many planning meetings and Berthoud citizens are the beneficiary of their work.

Please support Maureen and Jeff and they will continue to work hard for our town.
