Crews are battling a 50-acre brush fire near the Daytona Park Estates neighborhood in the DeLand area, according to the Florida Forest Service.

The fire is 20 percent contained, and no structures are in danger at this time, Julie Allen, forest service spokeswoman, said shortly before 7:30 p.m.

Firefighters were using bulldozers Sunday evening to plow lines around the fire to contain it, but were having a difficult time with the terrain due to canals, Allen said. A Volusia County sheriff's helicopter is assisting ground crews.
