The JSP chief celebrates Ugadi with SC farmers at Uddandarayunipalem

Jana Sena president Pawan Kalyan said on Sunday that if Amaravati were to become a global city, people should be large hearted, and there should be no discrimination in justice delivery.

Centre-State duel

Participating in the Ugadi celebrations with farmers belonging to the Scheduled Castes, whose lands were allegedly forcibly taken by the government for the construction of Amaravati, at Uddandarayunipalem in Guntur district, he demanded that an inquiry be conducted into the compensation paid in respect of assigned lands. On the occasion, Mr. Pawan Kalyan said it was unfortunate that the Central and State governments were making wily moves against each other in the wake of the latest political developments as people looked for good governance.

Farmers owning lands in island villages complained that their holdings were grabbed by the government without making up their loss.
