Raman visits Naxal-hit Narayanpur to spur growth

Chief Minister Raman Singh on Sunday made a surprise visit to village Dhoudai in Narayanpur district and participated in the 'Redressal camp' as a part of ongoing State-wide Lok Suraj campaign.

The villagers, panchs-sarpanchs and State Government officers- staff were pleasantly surprised to see Chief Minister amidst them. Tribal Development Minister Kedar Kashyap welcomed the Chief Minister.

Meanwhile, Raman Singh expressed his satisfaction over the total transformation of the Dhoudai and surrounding areas during the past 13 years.

Chief Minister announced Rs 1.53 crore for various development works in the region.  He also distributed relief material and bank cheques to the beneficiaries under several State Government schemes.

Chief Minister said, RsRswhen I had toured the area for the first time in the year 2005 the scenario was totally different. But with active co-operation of the residents, State Government officers- employees and prominent people's representatives there is a total change in the region now’’.

He further added, RsRsThere are positive changes all round.  Women are getting employment through various self-help groups. Farmers are sowing vegetables due to supply of electricity through solar irrigation pumps’’.
