CLIFTON PARK —  Two teenage boys accused a threatening a family based on their religious beliefs were arrested Sunday by State Police.

The boys, 14 and 15 years old, were charged with second-degree aggravated harassment as a hate crime after they left several voicemail threats, according to police. They were released to their parents and referred to the Saratoga County Probation Department. Their names were not released due to their age.

The State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation in Clifton Park investigated the complaint with the Hate Crimes Unit, which Gov. Andrew Cuomo created in response to an increase in reports of bias-related crimes.
