Noida police had a torrid time on Saturday night after they got an information about the abduction of a young girl in sector 27. A passerby, on seeing the girl being forcibly pushed inside a vehicle by some men, informed the police about the incident.
On reaching the spot, police asked the residents about the incident. The locals informed them that it was a group of friends who were in a jolly mood and were pulling each other's legs for one thing or the other. After some time the friends left the place. The way the girl was pulled inside the car gave impression that she was being kidnapped, which was not the case, it was done in a friendly manner.
Police took a sigh of relief on knowing the truth. The caller was told not to share information without confirmation.
