All Jharkhand Student Union (AJSU) on Sunday released the first lists of contestants who will contest municipal poll-2018. As per the communiqué, from Ranchi Munchun Rai will contest election for the post of Deputy Mayor while from Adityapur Municipal Corporation Professor Ravishankar Kumar will fight the municipal election for the post the similar post.
Besides from Hazaribagh Municipal Corporation (Sangeeta Barla) and Adityapur Municipal Corpoartion (Sachin Kumar Mahato), AJSU is yet to declare the names of candidates contesting election for the post of Mayor from three other Municipal Corporation which includes Ranchi, Giridih and Medininagar.
During a press conference here on Sunday, AJSU Spokesperson, Dr. Deosharan Bhagat in the presence of several party workers and members released the first list of contestants who will contest municipal poll for different post. AJSU party on Sunday subsequently unveiled a few names of shortlisted candidates who will contest for the post of President, Vice-President from their respective Nagar Palikas and Nagar Panchayats.
From different Nagar Parishads, names of six candidates have been finalised while for the post of President from Nagar Panchayats over five names have been approved. Similarly, for the post of Vice-President from both Nagar Panchayats and Nagar Parishads, over nine and five names respectively have been declared.
