Action was tight in the Lakeland Adult Soccer Organization’s co-ed league this past weekend, but scores were a bit more lopsided in the men’s league on Friday at the Southwest Complex in Lakeland.
All three men's matches were decided by six goals with the Tropics walking away as the highest-scoring team of the weekend after a 9-3 win over High Tower. Barcelona beat Anytime Fitness 7-1 while Atletico did the same to Diablos in the other men’s league game.
Diablos, Atletico FC and High Tower Soccer were winners last week.
The Money Team and ML City cruised in co-ed action with 11-0 and 8-0 wins over Hola Domingo and America, respectively. Megan Cross scored three times for The Money Team while Michael Nance netted a hat trick for ML City.
David Nelson found the back of the net twice in Anytime Fitness FC’s 4-3 win over the Midtown Strikers and A.J. Schuh scored twice in Red Hoagland Hyundai’s 3-1 win over Companion Animal Hospital.
Adam Leigh, Justin Harris and Chris Lobban all scored to lead FC Internacional to a 3-1 win over Il Forno Restaurant while Sage Baker scored the lone goal in Terror Fit’s 1-0 win over High Tower Soccer.
The Money Team, ML City, Companion Animal Hospital and Hola Domingo were winners last week. High Tower Soccer drew even with the Midtown Strikers while Anytime Fitness FC and FC Internacional did the same.
