Town planning department told to submit report on parking spaces

NAGPUR: Chairman of project consultative committee in Nagpur Municipal Corporation and senior BJP corporator Sanjay Bangale on Monday asked the town planning department to submit the detailed report of current condition of amenity spaces and parking space earmarked in development plan report for the city in 2000. The department has been given a week’s time to submit the report.

Deputy chairman of the committee Kishore Wankhede, town planner Pravin Sonare and other members were also present.


Sonare informed the committee that 891 reservations were made for parking and amenity spaces out of which 186 are reserved for municipal corporation, 13 for municipal and private institutions and others. It has been proposed to provide 47 reserved amenity spaces for the NMC with transfer of development rights (TDR). Bangale informed about the changes regarding the land registered under development plan.
