Fodder scam: Lalu Prasad convicted, Jagannath Mishra acquitted in Dumka treasury case

NEW DELHI: Former Bihar chief minister Lalu Prasad was pronounced guilty in a fodder scam (Dumka treasury) case on Monday by a special CBI court in Ranchi. This is the fourth fodder scam case in which Lalu Prasad has been convicted.

The quantum of punishment will be pronounced on Friday. Jagannath Mishra, another former Bihar chief minister, was pronounced not guilty in the same case (Dumka Treasury) by the court.


The court had on Saturday deferred till Monday the judgement against Prasad and Mishra in the fourth fodder scam case pertaining to alleged withdrawal of Rs 3.13 crore from the Dumka treasury over two decades ago.


A total of 14 accused have been convicted so far in the fodder scam case.
