Diabetes supplements: These 11p a day capsules could SLASH your blood sugar
DIABETES type 2 symptoms include weight loss, extreme tiredness, and passing more urine than normal. But, you could lower your risk of high blood sugar by taking these cheap supplements everyday.
Diabetes type 2 is caused by the pancreas not producing enough of the hormone insulin, according to the NHS.
Without enough insulin, the body struggles to readily convert sugar in the blood into energy.
Having diabetes increases your risk of kidney failure, cardiovascular disease and vision loss.
But, taking chromium supplements everyday could lower your blood pressure, scientists have claimed.

Taking daily chromium supplements helps to prevent against insulin resistance, according to German scientists.
The body needs chromium to help boost metabolism and regulate body composition.
“Chromium supplements can be used to maintain proper carbohydrate and lipid metabolism, reduce carbohydrate cravings and appetite, prevent insulin resistance and glucose intolerance,” said Dr Josh Axe.
“Dietary deficiency of chromium leads to disturbances in carbohydrate metabolism, increases risk of glucose intolerance and insulin resistance, and may lead to obesity and type 2 diabetes.”

If you don’t fancy taking the supplements, you could boost your chromium intake by making small dietary changes.
Chromium can be found in whole grain foods, bran cereal, orange juice and romaine lettuce.
Other sources of the mineral include onions, grape juice, black pepper and ham.
Magnesium supplements could also help to lower your risk of diabetes, studies have claimed.
You can get magnesium from green leafy vegetables or avocados.

Diabetes symptoms are caused because glucose stays in the blood, and isn’t used as fuel for energy, the NHS said.
Signs of the condition include feeling constantly thirsty, loss of muscle bulk, and needing to urinate more often than normal – particularly at night.
Lower your risk of diabetes by eating a healthy, balanced diet.
Regularly exercising, drinking alcohol in moderation and stopping smoke – if you’re a smoker – could all help to prevent the condition.
