Peak power demand in north and northwest Delhi areas is expected to touch 2,000 MW this summer and necessary arrangements have been made to meet the requirement, a Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (TPDDL) spokesperson said.
The peak power demand of the entire city is expected to shoot up to a record 7,000 MW in June this year.
"We expect peak demand to touch 2,000MW in our areas in summer months. In order to provide uninterrupted power supply, the discom has made adequate arrangements to get power up to 2,000 MW through long-term tie-ups and power banking facility," said the spokesperson.
TPDDL supplies power to around 15 lakh consumers in north and northwest Delhi.
